Anybody interested in cross blog conversations?

Hey buddies,
Wondering if anyone is interested in cross blog conversations?

If you are new to the phrase,

"a small group of people tag each other by asking questions like "What is your best productive tool", "How do you come up with blog post ideas" etc.

Example: "A" writes a small post about "B" and tags him/her with a question. "B" will answer the question in his own blog with a mention abt "A". The question has to be relevant to B's blog.

What do we get out of this?

1) A & B both get organic links, thereby increasing google PR
2) By mentioning about each other, both A & B are introducing the other person to their respective readers.
3) Depending on their existing site traffic, they can expect some comments & decrease in alexa ranking.
4) Sharing thoughts, personal interaction, socializing are other outcomes.

Cool john. 2 better than 1 but lets c if anybody else joins. putting my ideas on doc .kind of basic material about cross blog promotion...so v all work as a team for each of our individual blogs.

I'd love to, but ... I don't think my blogs will mesh well with y'all. One is a general parenting/essay blog, the other focuses on kids and allergies. I fear that any conversation we would start would seem contrived.

Glad to know you are interested. As we are still a small community, we want to start out with conversations suitable to our blog topics. I will tag you guys with questions relevant to your niche and you will tag me with a topic relevant to mine.

Hopefully we'll have more members soon and can form niche teams.

How do we list our respective blogs, along with a brief description of their content? Without being able to do this, identifying possible candidates for cross-blog conversations might be quite difficult.

Two tabs I thought might be the place were "introduction" and "resources", neither of which seem to work for me. Thoughts anyone?

Hi Bill,

1) Thanks for telling me about resource page. I fixed it.
2) We can post about our blogs right here in this discussion as well as in the introductions. Since we are still a small community, it will take a little while to make niche teams. Until then we tag general discussions.
3) I am thinking about a little bigger event to ensure more people join & participate in the networking.
4) I hate the word spam and am not sure how often i can send you guys a message. What are your thoughts?

2. Good point. Well, my blog is about a whole host of things that appeal to me, but with a tech/internet/home based business/marketing/promotion slant. It can be found at http://besscabiz.wordpress.com - will happily participate in a cross-blog conversation if we can find enough blogs in common.
4. I don't think this is spam...we have joined of our own choosing and expect to receive a few messages from time to time...

Hey Folks. Just moved my blog from Wordpress.com to my hosting provider. Felt too many restrictions and wanted it to be in the right place for when it hits the big time! ;-)
